I'll be taking my red work project along. I love this pattern because it's so different. Who would think funny little bugs would be so cute?
I took this picture of Parker and Macy smelling the roses this morning.

Going to Paducah
I'm leaving on saturday to meet up with Carol, Pat, and Jacque at Glenda's home in Franklin, Tennessee. We're going to be doing lots of exciting things, but the most exciting thing is going to Paducah, Kentucky to the quilt show. I'll take lots of pictures and maybe spend a little too much money, but that's what we quilters do.

Cute Little Critters
Sometimes when there's housework calling.... all I want to do is play in my sewing room. Usually, I work on quilts.... but lately I've been having fun creating cute little critters. First, I found this great book at the PIQF quilt show. I couldn't wait to make the little doggy. I've made quite a few and most have been adopted. This one belongs to Macy and she carries it everywhere with her.
Then I found this cute pattern and made loads of little kitties and bunnies. A few of them found themselves on top of baby shower gifts (tied in the bow) and of course, one for each of my granddaughters.
Then the cute bunny foo foo (what else would you call her?). These patterns were free (and I say very generous).
You see those cute little metal boxes? Found those at Target for $1.oo each. So I made little mattresses and pillows and flannel blanket for each one. Robin found me the cute teddy bears at Michaels and I was in business. I think it makes a cute little toy for those times when you need a quiet toy for church or the doctors office. I got the idea at a craft fair. Mine are alot simpler (because we all know the pieces will get lost) and I don't want to feel bad about that when that happens.
So. go on and make some cute little critters of your own. Now, back to my quilting......

Mr. Mole
I"ve spent the last few days planting my vegetables and flowers to enjoy this spring. These pictures are from last years crop. I love my Mr. Mole who is my garden sheperd. Last year we enjoyed sugar snap peas (Parker's favorite), green beans, peppers, squash, lettuce, and tomatoes. We had a huge crop of pumpkins that we decorated the house with at halloween. I hope my vegetables grow as well this year. Hear that Mr. Mole?
